Thanks for stopping by!  My name is Laura, you can see a picture of me on a good day to the right.

Anyway, let me tell you a little about myself. I have a passion for parties, and in particular throwing a ruddy good Hen Do!  You might say that I am a ‘hen-thusiast’,  well… you probably wouldn’t but that is what I am calling myself these days! Yes, I am The Henthusiast, and I am here to inspire you and help you with all of your hen party needs!  Forget about those silly L-plates, willy straws and even flowery bunting, we can do waaay better than that!

I have an etsy shop selling some super cool and unique hen party goodies, lots of which are printable so you could get your hands on them right now if you need to! You can check that out here…..

But I also want to share some ideas with you for free, and this little blog is where I shall be doing just that. So if you have a very important hen party to plan, check back here often, as every week  I will be sharing totally new DIY ideas that are also budget friendly, as well as some free printables!  That gal you’re throwing the hen party for is worth a million bucks right!? So lets make sure she has the best time ever!!

Let me give you a little bit of background on where the inspiration for The Henthusiast came from. As I mentioned, I do love to throw a hen party, and I have been lucky enough now to have been put in charge of hosting 2! Firstly my sister-in-laws, which had a ‘Boot Camp’ theme, as she is a fitness instructor and personal trainer. You can read more about this epic party on my old blog.  You can see some of the girls all kitted out in their army gear below. Thats me on the right with the Bride to be!

More recently, myself and the sister of the bride threw one of my besties a ‘Travel’ themed party in Bath, as she loves to travel and also works for a travel company. You can see us below enjoying the traditions of the first of many countries by having a Mexican Fiesta! There I am again with the parrot behind me on the left.

Aside from Hen Do’s I’ve also thrown quite a few other themed parties, two of which were charity events. One was Apres-Ski themed, and in aid of Macmillan, where we raised about £350.

The other was on a bigger scale. We threw an 80’s themed party in aid of Clic Sargent and raised over £3500! There I am being Kate Bush.80's themed party

I’ve also been known to create a Photo Booth or two. Here’s my attempt at a 90’s themed one.

So with all  all that party planning, I realised that this was something I really enjoyed doing, and I began to plot crazy ways of turning my obsession into a business!

If you’d like to join me on my creative adventures, stick around, I promise we’ll have lots of fun!
